The New York based Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra is set to perform a tour across East Asia for the first time. The Asian styled band is inspired by the music and dance of Ancient China. Professor Hou Chia-jeng, of Taiwan, hopes the cultural event will help restore some of the native arts that were lost in the country during Mao’s Cultural Revolution.
