
Mr. Yongxin gave details on what it takes to become an outstanding male dancer. He practices at least 4 to 5 hours per day to perfect his moves. “On top of that, if there are other techniques I feel unsure about, I might add an hour or two of my spare time,” he said. Every year, if a piece requires tumbling techniques, then he is usually assigned to them.
He also mentions the depiction of “yang gang” in male dance aside from exuding self-discipline during arduous trainings.
